Verigent is seeking an experienced AV Engineer to support the design, integration, programming, commissioning, and ongoing operation of audiovisual systems at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, FL.

You will engineer, test, and troubleshoot complex AV and collaboration systems, program Crestron SIMPL/SIMPL+ using related tools, and integrate control with displays, projectors, DSPs, and conferencing platforms across IP networks.

Qualifications

  • Experience engineering, configuring, integrating, and troubleshooting professional audiovisual systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Crestron AV control systems.
  • Experience developing or modifying Crestron SIMPL and SIMPL+ programming.
  • Strong understanding of AV signal flow and integrated audiovisual environments.
  • Experience integrating control systems with displays, projectors, audio systems, DSPs, video processors, and conferencing technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across AV, control, communication, and networked systems.
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals and IP-based AV technologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret AV schematics, system drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong documentation and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a complex, mission-critical environment.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain the required clearance.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification or willingness to obtain it.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and troubleshoot AV signal flow, control, communication, networking, and system-integration issues.
  • Perform system commissioning, functional testing, validation, and acceptance testing.
  • Support the installation, integration, deployment, and upgrade of new and existing AV systems.
  • Review AV system designs, schematics, drawings, equipment specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Develop and maintain system configurations, programming documentation, test documentation, and as-built drawings.
  • Work closely with AV technicians, engineers, installers, and customers throughout system implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Provide technical support and engineering expertise for operational AV environments.
  • Identify system deficiencies and recommend technical solutions, upgrades, and improvements.
  • Configure and troubleshoot IP-based AV systems and associated network connectivity.
  • Ensure AV systems meet customer requirements, performance standards, and applicable security requirements.
  • Support system lifecycle activities, including maintenance, upgrades, and technology refreshes.

Summary:
