We’re looking for an experienced AV Programming / Commissioning Engineer to join a high-performing team delivering complex audiovisual and integrated technology systems for mission‑critical environments.
This is a hands‑on technical role combining AV programming, systems integration, commissioning, troubleshooting and client‑facing technical leadership. You’ll work across complex conference rooms, operations centers, divisible spaces, video walls, VTC environments and AV-over‑IP systems.
Key Responsibilities
AV Programming & Integration
- Develop and deploy Crestron control systems, touch panels and control applications
- Develop and integrate C#/.NET applications and third‑party control modules
- Integrate systems using protocols including SSH, RESTful APIs and RS232
- Configure AV‑over‑IP platforms including Crestron DM‑NVX and Dante
- Design system configuration frameworks and technical documentation
- Commission and troubleshoot integrated AV systems from configuration through final acceptance
- Configure, calibrate and tune microphones, speakers and DSP systems
- Commission video walls, VTC systems, Microsoft Teams and Cisco solutions
- Configure AV network switches and troubleshoot network‑related issues
- Perform control‑system testing, identify bugs and drive issues through resolution
Technical Leadership & Client Support
- Conduct peer reviews of system designs, control programs and touch panels
- Develop post‑installation documentation and operational materials
- Deliver on‑site user and administrator training
- Communicate project status, technical risks and development progress to project managers, engineering leadership and clients
- Work directly with senior stakeholders and executive‑level customers
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline with 5+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 3+ years
- Strong experience programming and deploying Crestron control systems
- Experience with conference rooms, operations centers and divisible rooms
- Strong audio commissioning experience, including DSP, microphones and speakers
- Experience with Microsoft Teams, Cisco WebEx and AV‑over‑IP
- Experience with Crestron DM‑NVX and/or Dante
- Experience integrating third‑party systems using industry‑standard communication protocols
- Crestron, Biamp and/or QSC certifications required
- Strong troubleshooting, communication and client‑facing skills
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Willingness to travel up to 50%, including internationally
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance required
