Job summary

Seaman Paper is seeking a Crepe Operator to join our Gardner, MA team. You will operate crepe machines producing tissue paper used in downstream converting, while upholding safety, quality, and efficiency.

Responsibilities include loading rolls, monitoring performance, making adjustments, and completing production documentation. We offer training for the right candidate, with a 2nd shift of 3:00pm–11:00pm and pay of $20.00–$22.00 per hour plus shift differential.

Qualifications

• Previous machine operating experience preferred.
• Manufacturing, production, warehouse, or converting experience is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting ability preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Able to follow safety procedures and work instructions.
• Dependable, motivated, and willing to learn.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Support team members and production needs as required.
• Participate in continuous improvement and operational excellence activities.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

This is a hands-on manufacturing position. The role requires standing and walking throughout the shift, bending, reaching, climbing stairs, and working on elevated platforms and catwalks.

The position requires the ability to:

• Stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift.
• Safely work on elevated platforms and catwalks.
• Push and maneuver roll carts weighing up to 500 pounds.
• Occasionally lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work safely around operating machinery and production equipment.
