Responsibilities

• Analysis of the specification with regard to feasibility and preparation of the specification in cooperation with other departments
• Definition of the requirements for the respective development in coordination with process engineering, product management, sales and suppliers (design to cost)
• Conception of new developments for roadmap meetings and project proposals
• Cost and resource estimation for mechanical design projects
• Development/construction of systems/devices and their mechanical components, new or adapted designs in compliance with project budget and milestones as well as definition and implementation of tests
• Carrying out design reviews and design FMEAs or construction approvals with internal and external customers
• Preparation of technical documentation (e.g. assembly and adjustment instructions) and the required CE documents, including risk assessments
• Continuous development and optimization of existing products with regard to standardization, modularization, industrialization and cost efficiency

Your profile

• Successfully completed continuing education as a mechanical engineer, CAD Designer or a comparable qualification (both m/f/d)
• Profound knowledge of CAD systems, ideally Creo
• Safe use of MS Office
• Good written and spoken English skills
• Willingness to travel occasionally
