Job summary

Mohawk Industries is hiring for an entry-level yarn creel operator. You will keep the creel supplied with yarn, assist with handling cones, and help maintain smooth machine operation in a team setting.

No prior experience is required, and you will complete on-the-job and safety trainings to perform daily tasks effectively. This role supports our manufacturing processes across a global flooring operation.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required.
• Reads and writes in standard English and performs basic math.
• Completion of on-the-job training and safety trainings.

Responsibilities

• Keep yarn supply near creel to change packages efficiently.
• Remove empty cones from the creel.
• Hang correct yarn and splice if necessary.
• Patrol creel and keep yarn running smoothly.
• Observe creel and stop machine if breakout occurs.
• Assist operator in doffing a warp/roll.
• Perform daily autonomous maintenance activities.
• Participate in Quality Improvement Process.
• Attend job-related training as required.
• Follow all standard operating procedures.
• Perform housekeeping and other tasks as assigned.

What you’ll do:

• Responsible for keeping the proper yarn supply close to the creel to change packages efficiently.
• Remove empty cones.
• Hang correct yarn (splice if necessary)
• Patrol creel and keep yarn running.
• Observe the creel, stop the machine if breakout, when necessary
• Assist the operator in doffing a warp/roll.
• Must be able to perform daily autonomous maintenance activities.
• Actively participate in the Quality Improvement Process
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating procedures.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.

What you have:

• No prior experience required.
• Reads and writes in standard English and proficient in performing basic math calculations such as addition and subtraction.
• Successful completion of all required on the job training.
• Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.
• Work within a team environment.
