Rotating 12-hour shifts: 7A-7P / 7P-7A
All employees have the responsibility to:
- Show behavior aligned with SHE and Security risks and controls, including compliance with company requirements, rules, and procedures.
- Ensure all employees follow established occupational safety rules, housekeeping, Hazmat regulations, JSAs, and SOPs.
- Address and report individuals behaving irresponsibly regarding SHE and Security, and document observed risks.
- Adhere to company security policies, including employee security agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and control of intellectual property, as well as reporting security threats and incidents.
- Promote sustainability by encouraging a "reduce/reuse/recycle" philosophy within their team.
- Be prepared to work different shifts in other plant areas, including Personal Protection and Fiber.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, recipes, SOPs, and related documentation.
- Set up, operate, adjust, and clean equipment according to work instructions and SOPs.
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently to meet business goals.
- Support productivity initiatives as outlined in the manufacturing plan.
- Take samples for testing, perform offline quality checks, and maintain inventory of supplies.
- Maintain process conditions within limits, and request maintenance as needed.
- Perform quality checks and ensure accurate documentation of test and product information.
- Record raw materials and finished products in tracking systems.
- Handle raw, intermediate, and finished products, including inventory management and transportation using appropriate equipment.
- Make critical decisions regarding product quality, equipment, and safety.
- Identify issues with equipment or processes and suggest solutions, informing relevant personnel.
- Contribute to Lean, 5S, and Continuous Improvement efforts.
- Complete annual training on hazardous waste procedures and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include:
- Comfort working in a manufacturing environment with understanding of controls and instrumentation.
- Ability to follow SHE procedures and SOPs.
- Responsibility, accountability, and analytical skills to identify and rectify issues.
- Mechanical knowledge and ability to operate forklifts and cranes.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- High school diploma with 3-5 years of manufacturing or military technical experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, manufacturing systems, safety practices, and continuous improvement methodologies.
