Job summary

Mountain View Hospital in Idaho Falls is seeking a Scrub Tech to join the Operating Room team. The Scrub Tech assists the surgeon at the sterile field, supplies sterile instruments, maintains the surgical field, and supports perioperative care under the Surgery Team Leader.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Surgical Technician Program, certification within one year of hire, and current BLS. Operating room experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician Program.
• Certification required within one year of employment.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon at the sterile field by providing appropriate sterile instruments and supplies.
• Maintain the surgical field through aseptic practices throughout procedures.
• Assist in nursing care and preparation of the surgical patient for surgery as directed by the perioperative team.
• Adhere to facility policies and promote teamwork within the surgical unit.

Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Scrub Tech to join our team!JOB SUMMARY:The Operating Room Scrub assists the surgeon at the sterile field by providing appropriate and adequate sterile instruments and other supplies during the operative procedures. Maintains the surgical field through aseptic practices. Works under the supervision of the Surgery Team Leader as a member of the perioperative team. Assists in the nursing care and preparation of the surgical patient for surgery and performs routine and delegated duties according to the standards of practice and policies of the facility and department.
