Job summary

Stillman Law Office in Farmington Hills, MI seeks a Michigan-licensed Associate Attorney to handle creditors' rights and collections litigation matters. You will appear in court, analyze cases, and review pleadings while collaborating with experienced attorneys to support clients and operations.

Previous creditors' rights or civil litigation experience is preferred but not required. Bar admissions in other jurisdictions are valued and may broaden responsibilities within the Firm.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school is required.
• Active license and good standing with the Michigan State Bar.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills are essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in virtual and in-person court appearances throughout Michigan.
• Review, approve, and sign pleadings, motions, affidavits, and other legal documents.
• Provide legal analysis and opinions on case strategy, procedures, and compliance matters.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of federal, state, and local laws and court rules.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff for effective case management and timely resolutions.
• Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders.
• Manage deadlines and caseload priorities in a high-volume environment.
• Support the Firm's commitment to compliance and client service.
