Job summary

Trio is seeking an Underwriting Analyst to assess and review small to mid-sized business finance applications, determining credit worthiness and appropriate offer size and term. The role requires quick decisioning in a fast-paced environment and independent assessment using credit reports, tax returns, and statements.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, team-oriented, with strong math and analytical skills and a solid understanding of financial statements.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in financial services, credit, or underwriting.
• Experience in commercial underwriting for small businesses is a plus.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate credit and approve new finance applications.
• Make timely decisions with limited information.
• Communicate decisions to partners professionally.
• Build relationships and provide exceptional service to partners.
• Collaborate with the sales team to grow existing and new customer relationships.
• Protect channel from fraud and aid in pricing transactions for risk.
• Identify underwriting strategies to differentiate Trio in equipment finance.
• Stay abreast of industry and competitor trends.
