Job summary

Truist in Charlotte, NC seeks a senior relationship-focused sales professional to cultivate ties with institutional investors and corporate bond issuers, distributing primary and secondary bonds. You will work with trading, research, and syndicate teams to drive revenue and manage risk.

This role requires extensive credit market knowledge, a consultative sales approach, and leadership in a complex matrix environment; expect rigorous performance goals and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree and 12 years of related work experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of credit markets, products and risk.
  • Proven revenue generation and entrepreneurial experience.
  • Strong analytical, technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership in a matrix environment.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate institutional investor relationships to distribute bonds.
  • Provide market color and insights to trading desk and syndicate teammates.
  • Collaborate with Syndicate and DCM to obtain reverse inquiries for issuers.
  • Coordinate with Market/Risk teams to leverage the platform effectively.
  • Support trading desk risk management with active sales engagement.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Provide insights and market color from strategic accounts to help trading desk manage market opportunities.
  • Deliver a comprehensive platform of senior management, trading, research and syndicate teammates to our strategic accounts.
  • Works with Syndicate and DCM to get reverse inquiry for issuing clients.
  • Have a collaborative approach towards other Market/Risk teammates in order to best leverage our platform.
  • Support the risk management needs of the trading desk through active sales engagement
Director Level Responsibilities
  • Proven experience in financial markets
  • Consultative sales approach using credit skills and market knowledge to manage client transactions.
  • Consistently meeting quality individual revenue goals from a variety of FI investors.
Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree
  • 12 years of related work experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Credit industry, market, and products
  • Proven track record in revenue generation and entrepreneurial nature
  • Extensive track record of prudent risk management
  • Advanced analytical and technical skills combined with a problem solving attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal style, good listening skills and the ability to communicate highly complex ideas clearly and concisely
  • Strong partnering and leadership skills in a complex, matrixed environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • CFA and/or MBA degree, with a Finance focus
  • 14 years of related work experience
  • Experience in mentoring and coaching
  • Technology / Coding experience (Python, R, VBA, ect.)

The annual base salary for this position is $300,000.
