Job summary

Fidelity Investments seeks a Risk Analyst, Credit Risk to ensure client adherence to alternative investment policies and guidelines. You will collaborate with Product Management, Operations, Legal, and other Risk groups, reviewing assets and conducting issuer background checks.

The role supports monthly reporting, monitoring policy enforcement, and tracking risk indicators for alternative investments across Fidelity Retail and Institutional Wealth Management Services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2 years of relevant industry experience.
• Licenses or certifications (e.g., Series 7, CAIA) or willingness to obtain them preferred.
• Knowledge of Alternative Investment asset classes, structures, and investment strategies preferred.
• Familiarity with regulations and custody requirements for alternative investments a plus.
• Interest in learning and developing risk management skills.
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with problem solving orientation.
• Strong presentation, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong team player who takes initiative and builds consensus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and workload.
• Ability to engage in difficult conversations and ask sensitive questions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Fidelity clients adhere to current alternative investment policies and guidelines.
• Perform due diligence on new and existing alternative investment assets on the platform.
• Review documentation and perform background checks on issuer and principals.
• Prepare key monthly reports for senior management.
• Monitor enforcement actions of policy violations and track risk indicators for assets.
