The Credit Review Manager is part of the Financial Services Advisory group. This group provides regulatory compliance, internal audit, information systems and related consulting services for financial institutions, including banks, credit unions, fintechs and other types of financial services companies throughout the United States.

Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships for credit review engagements, while also providing advisory support as required.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of individual credit files to ensure adherence to both financial institution policies and regulatory standards
  • Execute and document comprehensive testing procedures for consulting, compliance, and internal audit engagements
  • Identify key findings and articulate opportunities for process enhancements to optimize operational efficiency
  • Investigate and analyze technical issues that arise during engagements, providing informed insights and solutions
  • Collaborate with clients to develop and implement strategic solutions tailored to meet their specific needs
  • Lead and mentor staff, offering guidance and training to ensure high-quality execution of engagements
  • Proactively identify and strategize initiatives to capitalize on market opportunities for growth within the credit review practice
  • Review and analyze financial statements of individuals or companies for sufficient cash flows to repay debt obligation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience required
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in banking/credit unions, focusing on credit analysis and underwriting
  • Preferred experience in credit/loan department operations, internal audit, and consulting services
  • Proficient in financial analytic tools, including Moody's
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team and work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong creative problem-solving and research capabilities
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities and concurrent projects efficiently
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to travel as needed, approximately 35%
