Job Description:

The Credit Policy Program Officer is responsible for the implementation of credit policy changes for standard and multiple systems and supporting tools. Responsible for governance routines, UCRA, standards, systems, tool updates, and communications. At time will assist in the recommendation and development of new credit policies. Functions as a liaison to internal departments and aids in surfacing gaps between written procedures and execution. Monitors and analyzes performance results, industry sources and internal requests on an ongoing basis. Subject Matter Expert for credit policy questions and projects. Extensive knowledge of credit policy, processes, product offerings, and credit evaluation tools required for Consumer Lending Lines of Business.

Role Responsibilities:

Manages credit changes through implementation Consumer Credit Policy. Works closely with Line of Business to ensure all standards, conditions, systems, calculators, worksheets and training are updated appropriately. Must be able to work independently and be self-starter. Must ensure that all necessary governance approvals are obtained and must follow established routines. Ensures that the changes are within the cost/benefit analysis and scope of the project. Decisions made during the project may have significant impact affecting more than project area. May be required to interact with management in many areas including Risk, Technology and Process Design. Requires an in-depth knowledge of the bank and overall operations environment so that project impact is well defined.

  • Extensive technical or functional knowledge of Origination and Automated Underwriting systems that support Home Loans, Small Business, Consumer Card or Vehicle Lending
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills specifically PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, SWFT
  • 5+ years experience in Home Loans, Small Business, Consumer Card or Consumer Vehicle Lending

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in process design, establishing a governance structure, and/or transformation required
  • Knowledge and understanding of Small Business and Consumer card
  • Bachelor’s Degree or above

Discretionary incentive eligible This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
