Credit Process Support Analyst (Hybrid-Miami)

Summary

This position participates in the activities of the Commercial Credit Process Support group, providing credit-related support functions related to data management within various commercial business units. Responsibilities include capturing, validating, and inputting key data into core bank systems, ensuring data quality and compliance with BankUnited and regulatory standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform data validation of credit memos prepared by Lending Officers, Underwriters, and other Credit Administration staff, ensuring data consistency across commercial lending.
  • Validate real estate property cash flow calculations and underwriting values in credit memos, ensuring accuracy and adherence to underwriting guidelines.
  • Validate financial statement and tax return spreads, ensuring accuracy and compliance with analysis procedures.
  • Engage with relevant staff to resolve data issues identified during validation.
  • Verify data updates in critical systems, collaborating with Loan Servicing for Signature Loan Servicing system tasks.
  • Participate in initiatives to reduce manual data entry in the Commercial Loan Origination platform.
  • Capture data according to the data dictionary and methodology standards.
  • Track data errors to identify training needs and participate in related training sessions.
  • Maintain communication with team members to meet data objectives.
  • Understand and administer Credit Policy and Procedures.
  • Participate in meetings and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including anti-money laundering policies.
  • Identify and report suspicious activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in credit analysis and/or commercial loan underwriting.
Skills and Abilities
  • Strong Excel skills, including report generation, pivot charts, conditional formatting, formulas, and functions.
  • Understanding of financial statement analysis, corporate income tax returns, and commercial real estate cash flow.
  • Good accounting skills through formal education or acceptable alternative qualifications.
