Job summary

Buddys Home Furnishings in Deland, FL seeks a experienced Credit Manager to join the store leadership. You will support the Sales Manager and General Manager, manage customer accounts, oversee collections, and help ensure profitable operations.

Two years Rent-to-Own or retail experience is required; strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills are essential, with willingness to work nights and weekends as needed.

• Experience with a POS system and basic administration.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and Maintain Customers
• Act as a customer liaison who resells the benefits of timely rental/lease agreement renewal payments
• Assist in managing store personnel; may direct activities of one or more employees
• Compliance with all applicable federal, state and local statutes
• Decipher, prepare and review store reports
• Document all customer commitments
• Ensure company standards for renewals, delinquencies and store collections are satisfied
• Fill out paperwork for submission to corporate support
• Follow monthly marketing plans and maintain internal quality control standards
• Manage customer accounts
• Managing inventory and cash assets

Position Summary

Position Summary

The Credit Manager along with the Sales Manager are the second in charge at the individual branch location. The Credit Manager performs a wide variety of job functions at the direction of the General Manager, assisting and coordinating store activities to ensure safe, professional and profitable operations. The Credit Manager is accountable for meeting company objectives; maintain company quality standards and adhering to company policies.

General Physical Requirements

• Position routinely requires lifting, loading, moving, and using a dolly for merchandise 50-300 pounds
• Stooping, bending, pulling, climbing, reaching and grabbing as required
• Must be able to traverse multiple flights of stairs while carrying furniture, appliance, and electronics
• Prolonged driving and standing
• Must be able to work in and outdoors in a variety of climates and weather conditions.
