Job description

Responsibilities

• Represent Ben E. Keith with professionalism, maintain a positive attitude and follow dress code.
• Set up customer accounts in the PeopleSoft computer system.
• Analyze credit applications for credit worthiness.
• Approve customer credit terms for the branch and maintain customer credit files.
• Oversee problem accounts to ensure collection activity is consistent with credit policy and that collections are made timely and within credit terms.
• Explain corporate credit policy to all sales representatives, including the sales representative's written acknowledgement of said credit policy.
• Prepare and manage the monthly credit call process and prepare an actual and potential bad debt report.
• Enforce credit policy matters such as late DSR collection deductions and bad debt charge backs.
• Manage the collection of previously written off accounts.
• Assure that the correct sales tax rates are being maintained in the branch mainframe system.

Qualifications

• Ability to write reports, correspondence and communications. Ability to effectively present information in a written and/or verbal format.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects, assignments and tasks, monitoring use of time and appropriately using equipment, facilities and materials to provide timely and quality responses.
• Ability to learn and use all Ben E. Keith applications.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Credit /Collections or related field.
• Computer literacy, including Excel and PowerPoint applications.
• Previous management experience preferred.
• Valid New Mexico driver’s license is required for driving to perform company business.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or related industry.
