Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 to 3 years credit/collection, general accounting, or related experience.
• Experience with software applications (SAP, Microsoft, etc.).
• Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

• Compile and maintain credit information.
• Contact customers to complete credit applications and verify contact information.
• Perform general organizing, filing, and scanning of documents.
• Send reference request forms to banks and trade customers.
• Run ad-hoc and regular reports (e.g., credit reports).
• Gather documents for credit review and transition to team members for decisions.
• Develop understanding of customers’ business and financial standing.
• Review data to spot trends and support process improvements.
• Identify delinquent accounts and contact past-due customers.
• Recover delinquent accounts and adjust as needed.
• Assist with terms to secure payments or payment plans.
• Document activity in collection software and follow up for commitments.
• Recommend accounts for charge-off and minimize risk.
