Responsibilities

• Researches and resolves credit balances on self-pay and insurance lines.
• Refunds overpayments or transfers payments to the correct accounts.
• Returns calls, referrals, or emails promptly and courteously.
• Understands payer regulations and explains EOB details to patients.
• Performs filing, data entry, and other duties as assigned.
• Identifies barriers and participates in improvement solutions.
• Handles inquiries from patients, payers, and staff; logs issues.
• Maintains productivity levels per team standards.
• Complies with HIPAA and payer policies; documents activity.
• Attends meetings and training; may be remote or onsite per policy.
