Job description

Our client, a leading media and entertainment producer, is looking to hire a Credit Collections Analyst to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. This is a 7-month hybrid contract position.

As a Credit Collections Analyst, you will be responsible for billings and cash collections. You will collaborate with teams to resolve A/R balance issues and review the department's business processes and systems to suggest improvements for productivity and efficiency.

Contract Duration: 7 months

Responsibilities:

• Review sales terms and billings
• Provide coverage for other team members
• Send statements to exhibitors
• Review A/R balances after cash application
• Research discrepancies and open A/R balances
• Manage automated cash application voucher interface with sub-ledger system (SMART)
• Validate and manage cash received in SMART to ensure e-vouchers are applied timely
• Update SMART with all wires
• Complete applying cash receipts within 2 days of receipt
• Maintain assigned accounts and backup other analysts when necessary
• Work with Senior Manager on process improvements and system enhancements
• Assist associates with missing reports
• Notify Senior Manager of delinquent accounts
• Initiate requests to remove customers from advance required status
• Provide monthly updates on aging A/R
• Run holds report and review holds business process
• Support box office collections and data entry
• Provide documentation for audits

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field
• 4+ years of related experience
• Knowledge of accounting principles
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with SAP & Oracle E1 (preferred)
• Experience in the media industry (a plus)
• Experience in multi-location companies
• Experience with media billing and sales systems
