JOB SUMMARY

The Corporate Banking Credit Analyst I primarily focuses on credit analysis, portfolio management, underwriting and ongoing review of the following types of loans: Corporate, Middle Market and Project Finance. Ability to be a team player, as well as communicate and collaborate with Lending Officers, Credit Officers, Relationship Managers, Senior Team Members and other Committee Members. Strive to achieve an outstanding level of customer service in accordance to Bank’s standards and competencies.

Accountable for adhering to the Bank's BSA, AML, and Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) applicable policies.

Employee must follow specific unit procedures developed in compliance with the Bank's processes and comply with any mandatory BSA, AML, and OFAC training assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Responsible for the timely and satisfactory completion of annual reviews, covenant compliance reports, leveraged loan monitoring reports, certain waivers/amendments and others as required.
  • Assist in preparing green light and Credit Approval Memorandums (CAM’S) for presentation to applicable approval authority committee. CAMs will be for existing loans and new potential loans.
  • Maintain up to date credit files and loan underwriting and portfolio management system, ensuring that files and reports comply with credit policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate across teams including credit risk, loan review, servicing, closing, and others, to ensure satisfactory internal reporting, compliance and streamlined processes.
  • Analyze loans by evaluating and reviewing loan information, including but not limited to financial statements, financial models, lender presentations/decks, public filings, data rooms, diligence reports, appraisal reports, and other related loan information and supporting documentation.
  • Assist in pro-actively anticipating questions/topics that credit committee members will likely focus on, sufficiently address those topics with the Senior Team Members.
  • Present reports, reviews, and loan files to the Corporate Banking Department and to Credit Department for discussion and conclusion.
  • The Credit Analyst must inform the corporate banking team and Credit team of any material risk factor, discrepancy or deviation discovered during the preparation and/or review of the CAM, its underwriting, credit analysis and due diligence.
  • Maintains continuous contact with Credit Analyst II's and RM’s to provide information on transaction status, discrepancies and resolve problems, concerns/doubts.
  • Assist the Corporate Banking Department concerning loan policies and procedures, quality control matters, loan review, and underwriting.
  • Assist in the preparation of Corporate Banking presentations.
  • Assisting in periodic portfolio reviews to identify early warning signals, and to maintain proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Participate in Corporate Banking pipeline meetings.
  • Assist in the execution and maintenance of ancillary services including cash management and others.
  • Manage to meet internal and client deadlines.
