Job summary

The Wasserstrom Company, a leading Food Service Distributor headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking a Credit Analyst for a structured training program in a fast-paced environment. You will evaluate and extend credit to current and potential customers, manage collections, and contribute cash flow by assessing risk and setting credit limits.

This role provides cross-functional exposure and hands-on learning within the Finance team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-8 years of credit collections experience.
• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• SAP background preferred.
• High Radius is desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of customers in the efforts of accounts receivables.
• Communicate with customers via email or telephone to investigate complaints, verify charges, or correct errors on accounts.
• Negotiate with customers on past due amounts, including establishing/enforcing payment plans.
• Evaluates customer records and recommends actions on credit limits or collections based on history.
• Prepare bad debt of uncollectible accounts.
• Investigate cases and make suggestions on refund requests.
• Prepare reconciliation spreadsheet (Excel) for customers regarding payment data.
• Review files to select delinquent accounts for collection efforts.
• Assist in development of credit rating criteria and credit ceilings with upper management.
• Offer insight on findings and actions for accounts under investigation.
• Assist in the recommendation of policies to upper management.
• Identify trends and recommend improvements accordingly.
