Job description

Examines, evaluates, and makes decisions on applications from both the direct and indirect channels. Direct loan applications include autos, credit cards, personal lines of credit, recreational vehicles, signature term products, home equity, and home equity lines of credit. Indirect loan applications include auto and recreational products. This position involves decision-making that requires a strong service orientation, excellent communication skills, and a self-confident personality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Review, evaluate, and decide on loan applications from both channels, utilizing tools to mitigate risk.
  2. Analyze credit data and financial statements to determine creditworthiness and risk, considering property valuation when appropriate.
  3. Ensure application data is complete and accurately entered into the Credit Union system.
  4. Make loan decisions within specified limits.
  5. Manage the performance of individual loan portfolios.
  6. Interact with Dealers and Dealer Representatives regarding decisions and unusual situations.
  7. Maintain knowledge of lending policies and procedures.
  8. Understand features and benefits of all other Credit Union loan products and services for effective cross-selling.
  9. Be knowledgeable about peripheral products like Credit Life/Disability, GAP, Vehicle Service Contracts.
  10. Provide consulting services on credit issues and quality to other departments.
  11. Maintain security and confidentiality of sensitive information.
  12. Recommend changes to credit-related policies and procedures to upper management.
  13. Stay current with all lending software and programs.
  14. Maintain proficiency with computer equipment and software, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  15. Work flexible shifts, including at least two Saturdays per month and rotating holidays.
  16. Salary range is $30.63 to $38.29 per hour, based on experience.
  17. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience, or equivalent education and experience.
