Job summary

Zions Bank in Midvale, UT is seeking a Credit Analyst in the Equipment Finance Division to evaluate credit requests, assess collateral, and support underwriters with financial analysis and structuring. You will analyze cash flows, asset values, and loan terms to provide recommendations and prepare credit presentations.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in finance or related field with 1+ years in credit/financial analysis, preferably in Equipment Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in finance, accounting, or economics or related field and 1+ yrs credit/financial analysis, lending, underwriting or related experience.
• Preference for Equipment Finance or Leasing backgrounds, but not required.
• Basic working knowledge of financial and spread analysis, credit, lending and underwriting processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct credit investigations, credit and loan analysis, underwriting and other documentation information pertaining to loan analysis.
• Conduct research on a variety of equipment types and associated values.
• Prepare equipment desktop evaluations for teams across the Bank.
• Investigate all available sources of credit and financial information, including reporting services, credit bureaus, other companies, main office files, and branches.
• Understanding of the loan request and the business relationship ensures accuracy of financial information for loan renewals.
• Analyze financial statements and related material and make recommendations for approvals of credits.
• Analyze financial conditions and trends, and ensure compliance with loan covenants.

Zions Bank has just opened an opportunity for a Credit Analyst within our Equipment Finance Division (EF) located in Midvale, Utah office. Zions Bancorporation's Equipment Finance Division provides customized commercial financing and leasing solutions to help businesses acquire, replace, or upgrade critical machinery, technology, and vehicles while preserving working capital. Our Credit Analyst will review credit presentations approved from various sources and provide feedback on term, structure, and collateral; assist with asset evaluation, useful life estimates, and residual structuring; and, assist EF underwriters with spreading, financial analysis, Credit Presentation compilation.

• Determine cash flow using appropriate tax analysis.




• Prepare summaries, present facts, and offer opinions concerning credit-worthiness and any risk items or issues.




• Provide credit information and references for customers, loan officers, or other agencies as requested.




• Ensure that all credit files include current finances.




• May assist with projects as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

What you need to bring to the table :

• Requires a Bachelor's in finance, accounting, or economics or a related field and 1+ yrs credit/financial analysis, lending, underwriting or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet job requirements.




• Preference for Equipment Finance or Leasing backgrounds, but not required.




• Basic working knowledge of financial and spread analysis, credit, lending and underwriting processes and principles. Some experience working with various types of loans.




• Basic working knowledge of credit risk, legal and regulatory requirements.




• Ability to work with lending officers and staff. Good client relationship and communication skills, both verbal and written.




• Ability to make sound decisions and recommendations regarding loans.




• Working knowledge of computer software programs including spreadsheets, word processing, etc. required.
