Job summary

Bank of America Corporation is seeking a Credit Underwriter to support underwriting and monitoring for moderately complex client relationships. You will assess financials, projections, covenant compliance, collateral, and risk to align with the bank's risk appetite.

Responsibilities include analyzing client financial information, monitoring performance, engaging with clients in meetings, ensuring policy compliance, and contributing to loan structuring and documentation.

Qualifications

• 6+ months commercial real estate credit related experience, inclusive of applicable internships.
• Financial analysis, underwriting and portfolio management experience
• Financial accounting, financial modeling and loan structuring experience
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or similar
• Certificate from accredited real estate educational program

Responsibilities

• Analyzes client financial information, identification/mitigation of potential risks, compliance with regulatory requirements and evaluation of collateral in determination of credit worthiness
• Completes monitoring activities via analysis of clients’ financial performance and collateral evaluation to ensure appropriate requirements are met
• Listens in to client meetings to develop a deeper understanding of the client's business, management team, and past and future performance
• Reviews completed client requests to ensure compliance with policy and procedures
• Understands how credit data is used internally and provided to regulatory partners
• Assists with periodic portfolio reviews
• Participates in loan structure conversations and completion of loan documentation
