Job summary

Great Elm Capital Management, LLC is seeking an experienced Credit Analyst to support the senior investment team and report to the Head of Research. The role emphasizes credit research across high yield, leveraged loans, and distressed opportunities, with strong emphasis on financial modeling and investment idea generation.

You will monitor portfolio investments, conduct industry research, and assist in presenting ideas to the Investment Committee while building solid relationships with market

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in credit research and/or investment banking with modelling/credit documents.
• Strong financial modeling and credit document analysis skills.
• Experience with fixed income and high yield/distressed debt.
• Ability to present ideas to Investment Committee and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide fundamental credit analysis and assess risks of current portfolio and new investments.
• Generate and communicate investment ideas with Investment Committee.
• Develop financial models with projections to support theses.
• Monitor investments and update models and memos with fundamental changes.
• Maintain relationships with sell side/buy side professionals to facilitate credit ideas.
