Job summary

gpac is seeking a Credit Analyst to join a leading bank's Commercial Underwriting team. You will analyze personal and business financial statements, assess liquidity, and prepare underwriting analyses to inform lending decisions.

Collaborate with Commercial Lending officers, ensure compliant loan files, apply credit policies, and present clear recommendations to credit committees. A Finance or Accounting degree and 2–5 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in credit analysis or related roles.
• Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Finance or Accounting.
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows, Office Suite (Word, Excel), and loan processing systems.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex documents and make well-informed decisions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with discretion, diplomacy, and tact.
• Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting up to 50 pounds and remaining stationary for extended periods.
• Preferred Skills: CRE, C&I lending, loan structuring, financial structuring, and DSCR analysis.

Responsibilities

• Spread and analyze financial statements to assess lending capacity.
• Use software tools to evaluate financial ratios and identify liquidity, revenue, and profitability trends.
• Collaborate with Commercial Lending officers to ensure complete documentation for new credit proposals and renewals.
• Evaluate loan requests, apply credit policies, identify risks, and prepare clear analyses for management and credit committees.
• Communicate with Retail and Lending staff to facilitate approvals.
• Ensure loan files comply with laws, regulations, and internal policies.
