Job summary

TS Banking Group is hiring an Entry Level Credit Analyst to analyze financial data for new and existing loans and prepare credit request displays and reviews of credits. The role supports the loan process with due diligence, risk assessment, and detailed reporting.

  • Produce loan-related reports and assist in loan board materials.
  • Assist in training junior analysts and participate in reviews.

TS Banking Group is seeking to hire a Credit Analyst. TheCredit Analyst is responsible for analyzing the financial data of newand existing loans and preparing credit request displays and reviewsof existing credits.

Education and experience preferred includes: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in the field of business withthe major area of study in accounting, finance, businessadministration or other closely related discipline. Work experienceand/or college coursework can be substituted for the Bachelor'sdegree. Possess a minimum of one year of professional work experienceas a credit analyst or closely related field.

  • Undertake credit risk assessment and apply credit limits andterms in compliance with credit policy
  • Perform due diligence in support of all credit applications
  • Ensure credit structures adequately mitigate the respectivecredit risks
  • Review customer information for completeness and accuracy, priorto performing credit reviews
  • Prepare credit reports with detailed analysis andrecommendations for management approval
  • Monitor credit exposure and performance of counterparties inorder to facilitate proactive management of risks
  • Analyze new and existing credit files (e.g., enter data intodatabase and/or spreadsheet computer applications; generatereports; collate data from reports; review balance sheet, incomestatement, etc. and calculate ratios in preparing credit review;submit review for lenders’ modification; prepare final commentaryand make decisions regarding assignment of loan rating; sign andarchive credit review with loan file).
  • Create and run queries for Credit Administration staff.
  • Periodically attend joint calls with Market Presidents andlenders with potential and existing clients to help withinterviewing applicants/borrowers and requesting specifiedinformation for loan applications, including: borrower’s operationsize and scope, operation decision makers and individualsinvolved, gathering obligor financial documents, and otherinformation pertinent for proper evaluation of the loan application.
  • May participate in the training of new credit analysis employees.
  • Participate in Loan Board Report compilation. This includes, butis not limited to, new loan reports, reports of concentrations andparticipations, updates on progression of watch list loans, etc.
  • Prepare forms, reports, correspondence, memoranda, etc.; answerthe telephone.
  • Ability to perform all other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all banking and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability toeffectively present information and respond to questions fromemployees of company and the general public. Must possess goodcommunication skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, anddivide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, commonfractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, andpercent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to operate the following: telephone, personal computer,printer, copy machine, fax machine. Working knowledge of wordprocessing, spreadsheet, and database software programs. AdvancedPC knowledge beneficial.
