Job Overview

We are looking for a Credit Analyst to join our Credit Admin team. The Credit Analyst is responsible for underwriting, documenting, processing, and maintaining lending products and loan files. Assist in evaluating loan applications, analyzing financial data, and supporting the Commercial lending team in making informed credit decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist underwriting commercial loan products following the bank's loan policy and procedures, and general prudent lending practices.
  • Perform credit analysis and spreads on financial information; and communicate with the Senior Credit Administrator on loans.
  • Perform site visitations to new borrowers and existing borrowers.
  • Prepare and review files for policy, regulatory, and documentation compliance, including equal credit, fair credit reporting, BSA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Follow up with tickler items.
  • Provide good service to all clients and potential clients of the bank, as needed as required for obtaining necessary documents for other departments of the bank.
  • Maintain high level of awareness in areas of regulatory compliance, loss prevention, security matters and adherence to Bank's policies and procedures.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, and over the phone.
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or client complaints.
  • Present a professional image in dealing with customers, interdepartmental, and external representatives.
  • Accurate typing/keyboarding skills; basic computer skills, including the use of word processing, spreadsheet software applications, core banking process systems, e-mail and on-line banking programs.
  • Good analytical skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to retain broad knowledge of lending tasks.
  • Strong analytical skills with a thorough understanding of lending operations and client needs.
