What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Direct and facilitate the credentialing and re-credentialing of facilities, physicians, and allied providers
- Conduct onsite visits to review credentialing files according to accrediting bodies and organizational standards
- Serve as the lead resource on credentialing policies and processes for staff
- Maintain credentialing documents, meeting minutes, and provider data in the credentialing software
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, accreditation agencies, and government requirements
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of three years' experience in credentialing, with at least one year at a healthcare entity
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Educational qualifications must be from an accredited institution
- Must not have been excluded from participation in any federally funded program
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate's degree in healthcare accounting, business, or a related field
- Certification as a Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) awarded by the National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS)
