Job summary

Excelsior Orthopaedics and Buffalo Surgery Center is seeking a Credentialing Specialist to manage credentialing, re-credentialing and privileging for licensed clinicians. You will maintain provider records, ensure timely license renewals, and keep CAQH and CAQH-related systems up to date.

The role requires attention to detail, data integrity, and the ability to work with hospitals, health plans and providers.

Qualifications

• Credentialing experience preferred; CPCS certification is a plus.
• Strong data management and attention to detail required.
• Familiarity with CAQH, NPI, and credentialing workflows expected.

Responsibilities

• Manage credentialing, re-credentialing, and privileging for providers.
• Maintain provider data in credentialing databases and systems.
• Monitor license and certification expirations and renewals.
• Prepare credentialing packets for hospitals and insurers; coordinate NPIs.
• Audit directories and keep records of CME credits and licenses.
