Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Five years of credentialing experience preferred.
• Experience in medical group credentialing/provider enrollment preferred.
• Hospital or multi-entity credentialing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission, DNV, NCQA, CMS standards and related regulations preferred.
• NAMSS certification (CPMSM/CPCS) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process initial credentialing and reappointment applications in a timely manner.
• Verify information and maintain practitioner files with accurate records.
• Coordinate with client Medical Staff Offices and applicants to resolve incomplete information.
• Maintain paper/electronic credentials files and databases for accuracy and currency.
• Perform queries to agencies for malpractice, licenses, and affiliations; assess responses.
• Prepare completed credentials files for delivery to clients and review by committees.
• Monitor expiring credentials and issue reminders within defined time frames.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of all credentialing data and records.
• Support orientation events and assist with audits and site visits.
