Job summary

Vituity is hiring a Remote Credentialing Specialist to support provider credentialing across nationwide teams. You will manage credentials for physicians and advanced providers, maintain credential databases, and ensure completeness with compliance standards.

Qualifications

  • 1 - 2 years of credentialing work experience in medical field.
  • Associate degree in related field or combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of the Vituity policies and procedures relating to credentialing and onboarding.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to express ideas clearly in verbal and written communications.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to use office equipment and automated system applications.
  • Ability to read, understand and communicate in English.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills.

Responsibilities

  • Credentials and recredentials for Physicians and Advanced Providers on a biennial basis.
  • Coordinate and obtain essential credentialing information and documents.
  • Verify credentials under Vituity policies and procedures.
  • Review credentialing information for completeness and red flags.
  • Identify and escalate red flag items to department manager.
  • Maintain current credentials, send reminders, update the database, provide credentials to outsiders as needed.
  • Provide customer service and credentials support by obtaining copies and completing paperwork.
  • Assist with follow-up to obtain needed paperwork and copies.
  • Input and update Salesforce Credentialing database with status.
  • Scan and organize documents into electronic files.
  • Support new client onboarding including online application setup and data import.

The Opportunity


  • Credentials and recredentials (on a biennial basis) all Physicians and Advanced Providers.

  • Coordinates and obtains essential credentialing information and documents.

  • Verifies all credentials under Vituity policies and procedures.

  • Reviews all credentialing information for completeness and for \"red flag\" items.

  • Identifies and escalates \"red flag\" items for action, as necessary, to department manager.

  • Maintains current credentials for all Physicians and Advanced Providers, including but not limited to: sends out reminder communication, updates the database under Vituity Policies and Procedures, and provides updated credentials to outside parties as needed (i.e. managed care organizations, medical staff offices).

  • Provides excellent customer service and credentials support by obtaining/compiling copies of credentials documents, generating profiles, and completion of paperwork to meet organization credentialing needs.

  • Assists with follow-up to ensure all needed paperwork and copies of credentials are obtained.

  • Inputs and updates the Salesforce Credentialing database with credentialing status.

  • Scans all provider/employee/contractor documents and paperwork into electronic files.

  • Updates and reorganizes electronic files as needed.

  • As needed, provides support with new client onboarding efforts including online application set-up, importing data into the Salesforce Credentialing database and other systems, requests malpractice insurance, runs databank and license checks, and tracks providers until all required credentialing, HR, and payroll items for hire are completed.


Required Experience and Competencies


  • 1 - 2 years of related credentialing work experience in medical field required.

  • Associate degree in related field or combination of education and experience required.

  • Knowledge of the Vituity policies and procedures relating to credentialing and onboarding.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and manage multiple priorities.

  • Ability to express ideas and convey information effectively in verbal and written communications.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as required by the duties of the position.

  • Ability to use office equipment and automated system applications/software at an acceptable level of proficiency.

  • Ability to read, understand and communicate in English sufficient to perform the duties of the position.

  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills.

  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organization skills.

  • Ability to maintain compliance with all regulatory and accrediting institutions.

We are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $22.05 - $27.01, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible to participate in our annual corporate Success Sharing bonus program, which is based on the company's annual performance. If you are hired at Vituity, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience.
