Job summary

Eastern Dental is seeking a Credentialing Specialist for the Eastern Smiles Opco role in Avenel, NJ. This contract position (6 months to 1 year, with potential to convert) focuses on initial and re-credentialing for dental providers and coordinating enrollments with Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial plans.

You will manage provider databases, track credentialing timelines, submit applications, follow up with payers, and prepare documentation for audits to keep dentists paid and in compliance.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of credentialing experience preferably in dental or healthcare.
• Solid understanding of insurance credentialing processes and requirements.
• Experience with provider enrollment for government and commercial payers.
• Strong organizational skills—managing multiple providers and deadlines.
• Ability to follow up persistently with insurance companies.
• Proficiency with credentialing databases and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

The Role:
