Job Title: Credentialing Specialist – Payor/Provider

Location (City, State): Houston, TX 77024

About Our Client:

Addison Group is working with a leading healthcare organization to identify a highly motivated Credentialing Specialist to support an urgent credentialing and provider enrollment project. This is a contract role with strong potential for extension, offering an opportunity to make an immediate impact within a collaborative team environment.

Job Description:

This position focuses on provider credentialing and enrollment for commercial and government payors. The Specialist will assist with cleaning and reconciling a large provider roster, ensuring all records are accurate, compliant, and up to date in payer systems. This is a great opportunity for someone experienced with Medicaid/Medicare enrollment and credentialing workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct full-cycle credentialing and provider enrollment for a large physician roster
  • Review and reconcile provider information for accuracy across multiple payer portals
  • Ensure providers are linked to the correct Tax ID, group affiliations, and payment addresses
  • Update, track, and maintain provider data using Excel, EPIC, and payer systems
  • Work independently to verify enrollment status and correct outdated information
  • Collaborate with the internal credentialing team to resolve discrepancies

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of provider credentialing and enrollment experience
  • Required: Hands-on experience with TX Medicaid, Medicare, and CAQH
  • Experience working in payer portals and understanding of payer enrollment guidelines
  • Proficiency in Excel (data tracking and reconciliation)
  • Background in hospital credentialing or insurance enrollment highly preferred
  • Must have high attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Additional Details:

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (must log in after 6 AM and log out before 5 PM)
  • Type: Contract (approx. 3 months with potential to extend)
  • Location: Onsite at Houston-area business office
  • Dress Code: Business Casual
  • Start Date: 6/30 or sooner
