Job summary

Good Shepherd Health Care System in Hermiston, OR is seeking a Credentialing Specialist to support the Medical Staff Services Department. You will process initial and re-credentialing applications, maintain provider files, and help with onboarding and compliance tracking.

The role requires 3–5 years in healthcare administration, experience with physicians, and proficiency with office software and credentialing databases. High school diploma is required; a NAMSS certification is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Process initial credentialing and re-credentialing applications for medical staff and allied health professionals.
• Maintain complete, accurate provider credentialing files.
• Track expirable licenses, certifications, and insurance; follow up for updates.
• Communicate with providers to obtain documentation and ensure timely submissions.
• Distribute and track privileging applications; review documentation for completeness.
• Coordinate orientation logistics and lead provider orientation.
• Prepare credentialing and committee meeting materials.
• Enter and maintain data in credentialing software and internal tracking systems.
• Perform general administrative support for Medical Staff Services.
