Job summary

Advanced Medical Management, Inc. (AMM) in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Credentialing Coordinator to ensure every practitioner meets standards set by AMM, NCQA, CMS, and health plans. You’ll handle initial credentialing, re-credentialing, and ongoing provider maintenance with accuracy and compliance.

The role emphasizes ownership, structure, and problem-solving in a high-trust environment, with regular weekday hours and a focus on precise, timely verifications and committee processes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of administrative healthcare experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe Pro.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and time management.
• High attention to detail with a low tolerance for errors.
• A self-starter who can work independently or as part of a team.
• Comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
• A natural problem-solver.
• Available Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Enter and manage provider information in EZCap and our Provider Network Program application.
• Process primary source verifications (outgoing and incoming).
• Conduct OIG, SAM, Medicare Opt-Out, and Preclusion List sanction checks.
• Run NPDB, AMA, and other required verifications.
• Confirm every application meets credentialing requirements.
• Prepare provider files for Credentialing Committee review.
• Process committee outcomes — meeting minutes, system updates, and notification letters to providers and internal teams.
• Identify providers due for re-credentialing and manage renewal end-to-end.
• Process primary source verifications and required sanction/verification checks.
• Coordinate peer review and prepare files for committee review.
• Process committee outcomes and provider notifications.
• Monitor and confirm provider status.
• Keep EZCap and the Provider Network Program current — demographics, terminations, and activations.
• Build and maintain credentialing provider rosters.
• Support other credentialing needs as they come up.
