NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York, NY is seeking a Credentialing Analyst II to support the Central Billing Office's credentialing and re-credentialing for medical staff and allied health professionals.

This day shift role reports to the NYP Manager of Payer Enrollment and requires high attention to detail, strong writing skills, and proficiency with Cactus credentialing software and Microsoft Office.

Formación

• Two years direct experience with medical staff credentialing.
• Bachelor’s degree required; CPCS certification preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare credentialing concepts, practices, and procedures.

• The Credentialing Analyst II supports all aspects of the Managed Care/delegated credentialing and re-credentialing process for Medical Staff and Allied Health Professionals.
• Reports to the NYP Manager of Payer Enrollment.
• Assists with on-site credentialing activities and maintains accurate records.

Description

The Credentialing Analyst II reports to the NYP Manager of Payer Enrollment. The Analyst II is responsible for assisting the Manager with all aspects of the Managed Care/delegated credentialing and/or re-credentialing process for the Medical Staff and Allied Health Professionals.

Preferred Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree
• NAMSS Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS)
• One to two years relevant experience in an academic medical center

Required Criteria

• High School Diploma
• Two years direct experience with medical staff credentialing
• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures used in health care and physician credentialing.
• Excellent communications and writing skills
• Must have intermediate knowledge of Credentialing Software (Cactus) and Microsoft Office products
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and can function independently with minimal direction
