Blue Cross Pet Clinic in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our compassionate team. You will assist veterinarians with anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, laboratory testing, patient nursing, and client education.

Qualifications

• State license to practice as a veterinary technician in the state of employment.
• Ability to lift patients and equipment up to 25 pounds; assist with heavier lifts with help.
• Surgery experience and PPE knowledge are required.
• Basic math to calculate dosages and comfort with computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in medicine, surgery, anesthesia, dentistry, and nursing tasks.
• Take histories, vital signs, weights, and educate clients during outpatient exams.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor vital signs intraoperatively.
• Collect samples, run in-hospital labs, and process radiographs with safety.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and equipment, restock supplies, and support team.
