Job summary

El Dorado Animal Hospital in Fountain Hills, AZ is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our supportive, high-performing team. We offer a stable four-day workweek, competitive compensation, and strong emphasis on ongoing professional development.

You will perform anesthesia induction and maintenance, dental prophy, radiographs, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and charting, with mentorship and opportunities for advancement in a fast-paced, cat- and dog-focused practice.

Qualifications

• 2+ years veterinary technician experience.
• Active and good-standing CVT in Arizona.
• Current Veterinary Technician Certification in Arizona.

Responsibilities

El Dorado Animal Hospital is an AAHA-accredited practice with 3 doctors and 3 credentialed technicians caring for dogs and cats. The 4,900-square-foot freestanding hospital features an updated open floor plan, 3 exam rooms, digital X-ray, digital dental radiography, and ultrasound. The team handles a busy appointment schedule and 2-4 procedures per day, including spay/neuter, cystotomy, splenectomy, tumor removal, and occasional amputation. Team members are expected to take initiative, work efficiently, and support one another, with strong emphasis on cat-friendly handling. Fountain Hills offers beautiful Sonoran Desert scenery, the iconic town fountain, outdoor recreation, and a welcoming community near the McDowell Mountains.

This is a good-faith estimate based at the role's requirements at the time of posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
