Job summary

Animal Medical Center I-35 in Edmond, OK is searching for an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. The RVT will assist in surgeries, monitor anesthesia, manage patient care, and support clients with care plans and updates.

We value a positive, adaptable professional with strong communication and teamwork who can handle dental radiographs, phlebotomy, and lab duties while ensuring compassionate service to pets and their families.

Qualifications

• RVT in Oklahoma or eligible to transfer license within 3 months of hire.
• 3+ years of veterinary clinical experience.
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
• Passion for working with animals and their owners.
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint.
• Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Dental experience: scaling, polishing, charting, radiographs.
• Skilled in phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, casts, bandages and splints.
• Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation and post-operative care.
• Medical math and drug calculations.
• Laboratory skills: cytology setup and interpretation.
• Diagnostic experience: digital radiology, dental radiology, and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis.
• All other duties of a Registered Veterinary Technician as allowed by law.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgeries and anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery.
• Perform patient exams, administer treatments, and maintain medical records.
• Communicate with owners regarding care plans, progress, and discharge instructions.

Location: 3800 E 2nd St, Edmond, OK 73034

Salary: competitive and dependent on experience

Schedule: Variable; must be willing to work AM shifts for surgeries

Who You Are

• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in Oklahoma, or eligible to transfer/acquire state license within 3 months of hire

• Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation, monitoring, pre-operative and post-operative care
• Confident with medical math and drug calculations
• Laboratory skills including cytology set-up and interpretation
• Diagnostic experience including digital radiology, dental radiology, and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis
• And all other duties of a Registered Veterinary Technician as allowable by law
