Job summary

Grove City Veterinary Hospital in Ohio is seeking a credentialed veterinary technician who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative setting. You will work closely with veterinarians and the care team to deliver high-quality patient care and client communication.

Open to full-time or part-time employment, the role offers a team-centered culture, ongoing professional development, and a pay range of USD $21.00 - USD $26.00 per hour. Training and mentoring are provided to support success.

Qualifications

• Current state credential (CVT/LVT/RVT) in the state of employment.
• Strong anesthesia, surgical, laboratory, and nursing skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently (more with assistance).
• Commitment to OSHA safety standards and proper PPE use.
• Proficiency in calculating accurate medication dosage calculations.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in medical and surgical procedures.
• Obtain patient histories, record vital signs, and provide client education.
• Prepare and monitor patients for anesthesia and surgery.
• Collect and process laboratory samples; perform in-house diagnostics.
• Take and maintain radiographs using proper safety protocols.
• Administer medications, vaccines, anesthesia, and treatments as directed.
• Provide safe animal handling (Fear-Free and Low Stress Handling) and compassionate patient care.
• Maintain clean, organized exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment.
• Communicate clearly with doctors and team members regarding patient care plans and client concerns.
