Job summary

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited veterinary technology program and current licensure is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to complete the veterinary technician skills checklist for Veterinary Technician III
• 5+ years of experience as a Veterinary Technician in practice is preferred.
• Strong ability to connect with clients and demonstrate compassion.
• Excellent verbal / written communication, observational, and analytical skills.
• Thrives in a fast paced, self-starter environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level veterinary medical care and uphold Chewy mission with the team.
• Implement policies and procedures using integrated technology to deliver medical care.
• Perform skills of Veterinary Technician I/II including training, inventory management, and mentoring team members.
• Care for patients (blood work, anesthesia monitoring, dentistry, wound care) and handle fluids/tissues.
• Follow SOPs and SOC; communicate clearly with veterinarians and team members.
