Paw Prints Veterinary Hospital in Westover, WV is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team known for advanced veterinary medicine. We offer CT imaging, ultrasound, and a range of procedures, serving dogs, cats, pocket pets, reptiles, and more.

Formación

• Registered RVT, LVT, or CVT credential as applicable.
• Approximately two years of veterinary experience is preferred.
• Experience with animal restraint, treatments, diagnostic procedures, and veterinary nursing care.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a busy hospital.
• Calm, thoughtful problem-solving skills in stressful situations.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A positive attitude and willingness to share knowledge and learn.
• A commitment to compassionate patient care and excellent client service.

Responsabilidades

• Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, diagnostic procedures, and surgical cases as trained.
• Safely restrain and handle patients during examinations and medical procedures.
• Monitor patients during anesthesia and procedures, as appropriate to your training and experience.
• Collect samples and assist with diagnostic testing and laboratory procedures.
• Provide treatments, administer medications, and carry out patient care plans as directed by veterinarians.
• Support patient recovery, hospitalization, and ongoing monitoring.
• Educate clients on treatment plans, medications, and at-home care instructions.
• Collaborate with teammates to maintain efficient workflows and high standards of care.
