Position Highlights:

• Shift Schedule: Full-time 40 hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
• Department: Orthopedic Surgery
• Location: 131 Miller Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27103

How You’ll Impact Patient Care:

Your responsibilities as a CMA include, but are not limited to:

• Providing exceptional patient care and supporting efficient medical operations
• Managing clerical tasks, scheduling, and assisting with examinations and procedures
• Conducting patient interviews, recording vital signs, and documentation
• Preparing examination rooms, administering medications, and following infection control policies
• Maintaining medication records and supporting point of care testing

What You’ll Need:

• High School Diploma or GED; Associate’s Degree in Medical Assisting preferred
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC

Current Medical Assistant certification from one of the following is required:

• CMA (AAMA)
• CCMA (NHA)
• NCMA (NCCT)
• RMA (AMT, American Medical Technologists)
• RMA (American Allied Health)
• NCMSMA (NHCWA)
• NRCMA (NAHP)
• NRMA (NRMA)
