LF Studios designs and fabricates animatronic figures, scenic elements, and interactive experiences. We seek a skilled Welder/Metal Fabricator to build custom components and assemblies and to interpret drawings to solve fabrication challenges.

The role involves MIG/TIG welding of steel and stainless steel, layout and fitting, and collaboration with designers, engineers, and craftspeople on ambitious projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional welding or metal fabrication experience.
• Skilled in MIG and TIG welding of mild steel and stainless steel.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and interpret dimensions/tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate custom steel and stainless steel components, armatures, frames, and assemblies.
• Perform layout, cutting, fitting, alignment, tack welding, and MIG/TIG welding.
• Interpret drawings, CAD references, and design intent to build assemblies.
