Note: The Clerk’s Office is remote-friendly and offers flexible schedules.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller services to promote to the public through video storytelling, public service announcements, infographics and other methods.
  • Design print materials including posters, signage, brochures, fliers and other items as needed.
  • Take primary responsibility for video recording and editing; scout locations for shoots and secure permissions for location use; set up shoots (lighting, sound, teleprompter if needed) and assist with video scripts; collaborate on video scripts.
  • Produce video stories/content and prepare them for multi-media formats including web, social media and other channels.
  • Prepare photos, graphics and other visual content for the Clerk’s website, social media channels, electronic publications and print materials.
  • Assist in content development and messaging strategy; provide visual/video communications support to subject-matter experts; consult with internal customers on effective visual messaging.
  • Collaborate on the Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller’s video projects and manage video production for assignments.
  • Represent the Clerk’s office at community outreach events, including occasional nights and weekends as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of computer operating systems and software relevant to the work.
  • Identify and apply best practices for communications and stay informed about new products, technologies, trends, and advances in the profession; attend meetings, conferences, workshops, and training as appropriate.
  • Exercise confidentiality and discretion in processing sensitive matters and requests from internal and external customers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field required, with five (5) years of recent and relevant experience in communications, internal communications or community relations.
  • Additional experience may substitute for the degree as follows: four (4) years in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, or two (2) years in lieu of an associate degree.
  • Experience with all aspects of video production (pre-production, production, post-production) and delivery for digital, social and web; proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Audition; working knowledge of professional video/audio equipment and Chroma Key.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud for graphic design and print production.
