Job Summary

The Creative Production Manager is responsible for ensuring flawless deliverables to accompany our music releases and design projects. They will work directly with artists and the team to create unique and ownable art pieces to promote the launch of records. Reporting to the Director of Operations, they will be responsible for gathering project requirements, communicating with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective work delegation with the external design network, contracting and asset management, and overall alignment on priorities to meet the design requirements of the company.

Responsibilities
  • Managing the artwork process and marketing assets for music releases
  • Maintaining current design workflows, supporting the A&R and Operations teams to create deliverables and ensure projects are delivered on time
  • Creating and maintaining project management documents including contracts, project plans, communications plans, and compiling of historical information
  • Managing our external design network: Find new designers, as needed; manage the contracting process; delegate work and ensure it is delivered. Keep the scope of projects in line with budget and schedule, while also working with the network to maintain creativity to produce the best quality achievable within constraints
  • Ensure that all release assets are created in accordance with internal policies and that invoices are created within our proprietary technology to recoup against royalties
  • Ensuring quality control guidelines are consistent with the brand across all mediums and channels
  • Managing the design budget, assessing current design tools, and pitching improvements to the Director of Operations
  • Fulfilling time-sensitive basic design needs, when and where needed
  • Travelling to key content opportunities for priority artist campaigns
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in project management, communications, design, marketing, or a related field preferred
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in project or production management, ideally within the music, entertainment, gaming, or creative industries
  • Proven success managing multiple overlapping projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with budget tracking and resource planning for creative teams or projects
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Asana
  • Experience working cross-functionally with internal teams, especially marketing, design, and operations
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with clear and professional communication across external freelancers, vendors, or contractors to deliver design or creative projects on time and on budget
  • Strong understanding of brand management and the ability to ensure all deliverables adhere to established brand guidelines.
  • Familiarity with content production workflows for digital marketing campaigns and music releases.
  • Understanding of design and production terminology to effectively review work and communicate expectations, without needing to execute creative work directly
Pay Scale
  • $65,000 - $70,000 CAD per year
  • The final compensation within this range will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and overall fit for the role.
