New York Public Radio is seeking a dynamic Temporary Producer for Terrestrials. You will craft episodes in close collaboration with the Host and production team, ensuring high-quality storytelling and diverse sourcing.

This role is part of a small, collaborative team focused on rethinking expertise across all episodes and seasons. You will work under the Executive Producer, Terrestrials, coordinating with editors, researchers, and contributors, and contribute to web and social content as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years producing narrative or reported content.
• Experience with booking, pre-interviewing, tape cutting, story development, script writing and host collaboration.
• Experience with audio editing.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with Host, EP, Producer and freelancers to produce Terrestrials episodes.
• Pitch original ideas for new and bonus episodes.
• Research story ideas, conduct pre-interviews, book guests, arrange studios/tape syncs.
