Job summary

REFERENCE NYC is a New York studio that creates 3D billboards, CGI films and experiential installations for notable brands. We seek a producer to manage projects from bid to delivery, collaborating with studio leadership, artists in New York and Tokyo, and clients after award.

The role includes an imminent LED installation opening in December and a path to full-time in 2027. You will handle budgets, schedules, client communications, and vendor contracts, while guiding artists to deliver

Qualifications

• Experience with digital out-of-home or experiential production is a plus

About the role

REFERENCE NYC is a New York studio that makes 3D billboards, CGI films and experiential installations for brands. Over the past seven years we have worked with Google, American Eagle, Victoria’s Secret, Mastercard, McLaren, Louis Vuitton and Calvin Klein, among others.

We are looking for a producer to run our projects from bid to delivery. You will work directly with studio leadership, and with our artists in New York and Tokyo, and you will be the main point of contact for clients and agencies once a project is awarded. You will step into active work right away, including a large LED installation opening in early December.

What you’ll do

• Build estimates, budgets and schedules, and keep each project on budget through delivery
• Run client calls and reviews, and turn feedback into clear direction for the artists
• Book and manage freelancers, partner studios and vendors, including contracts and invoices
• Work with media owners on screen specs, delivery and on-site testing before a board goes live
• Track approvals, usage and final deliverables across formats
• Help find and onboard freelance artists as the team grows

What we’re looking for

• At least two years producing CGI, VFX, animation or 3D work for advertising, at a studio, agency or production company
• Experience with digital out-of-home or anamorphic billboards is a big plus, as is experiential or real-time production
• You are comfortable running several projects at once, often on short timelines
• You communicate clearly with clients and artists, in writing and on calls
• You are based in New York and can take some evening calls with our team in Tokyo

How it works

This role starts as a freelance contract from November through January, with potential to transition to full-time in 2027. We are a small, distributed studio without an office, so most days are remote, with in-person client meetings, shoots and screen tests around the city.
