Job summary

TOPPAN Packaging Americas, located in Plant City, FL, seeks a Pre-Press Technician/Graphic Designer to support production through artwork preparation and optimization using Adobe Creative Suite. The role requires strong Illustrator/Photoshop skills and experience with Mac/PC environments.

Responsibilities include preflight checks, plate inspection, and layout creation, with a focus on accuracy and quality. Associates or higher in Graphic Design or related field preferred; entry-level applicants

Qualifications

• Associate/college degree or vocational certificate in Graphic Design or related field preferred.
• At least 1 year of graphic design and/or pre-press experience preferred; training available for entry-level.
• Proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop required; strong layout and color skills.
• Microsoft Office proficiency required; ability to work in Mac and PC environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and optimize artwork for production using Adobe Creative Suite.
• Modify vector artwork in Illustrator; edit graphics, trapping, and text elements.
• Create complex illustrations and photographic layouts for production, including bleeds and step‑and‑repeat setup.
• Perform color corrections and photo-editing tasks in Photoshop during pre-press.
• Conduct preflight checks to identify production issues before manufacturing.
• Inspect printing plates for accuracy and quality before release to print department.
• Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to maintain accuracy and quality.
